BLEvo for your Smart Levo

We met with Kam1936 on the Electric Bike Review Forums.
I do confirm: BLEvo works on all Specialized Turbo e-bikes equipped with TCU. It includes Vado, Como, Vado SL, Levo SL, and Creo SL in addition to Levo and Kenevo. We have got many reports from Turbo e-bike owners to confirm the full compatibility. I'm enchanted with BLEvo myself.

Here is how nicely BLEvo transfers the ride data from my Vado to Strava:

I can recommend BLEvo to any Specialized Turbo (TCU) e-bike!

    To Anybody Concerned,

I and Paolo did some tests. It appears that Turbo Vado 45 km/h (28 mph) e-bikes, that is 5.0 and 6.0 (unlike Turbo Levo, Kenevo) have a Wired Control Unit (not wireless Turbo Control Unit TCU). Therefore, these can neither connect to Mission Control nor to BLEvo.

However, the 25 km/h (or 20 mph for United States) versions of Turbo Vado have the TCD-W, which, according to Specialized will work with Mission Control, so these should work with BLEvo, too.

Specialized is planning delivery of TCD-W to owners of the 45 km/h (28 mph) Turbo Vado 5.0 and 6.0 after they have obtained the EU Certificate of Conformity, which hasn't happened yet. So Vados 5.0 and 6.0 cannot use the benefit of BLEvo yet. This is the answer I got from Specialized B.V, the distributor in Europe.

    Hi All,

I own a Specialized Turbo Vado 5.0 with Specialized 1.2s (Brose TF) motor and older BLOKS display. As some of you might know, BLOKS was a bad investment for Specialized; the start-up company could not deliver what they promised and they collapsed in summer 2019, leaving owners of Turbo Vados in the darkness. To avoid unnecessary discussion: Specialized will not replace BLOKS displays with the newer TCD-W displays for Turbo Vados equipped with the 1.2s motor. The BLOKS display is not discoverable by Mission Control app even if it is a valid Bluetooth device for Android smartphone.

Has anybody tried the BLEvo app with the BLOKS display? Will it work?

The problem is BLEvo is a paid app and I don't want to pay just for possibly failed test. I think Paolo wrote he could not test BLEvo with Turbo Vado 5.0 (BLOKS). Has anyone tried?

Thank you for any useful information.
