I'm noticing from the various posts that the concept of wheel circumference and speed of assistance blocking is not very clear.
The problem is due to the fact that not all the Levo 2019 wheel circumference can be modified (only those with TCU version 2.019 can be modified)

Foreword: in BLEvo you ALWAYS need to insert the REAL wheel circumference, the wheel circumference displayed in Mission Control will be the result of the REAL wheel size and the speed limit which is set in BLEvo.
The BLEvo wheel circumference is only stored in BLEvo, it is not stored in Mission Control or in the bike. It serves "only" to correctly calculate the real speed and the distance travelled.
When setting the values in BLEvo, the wheel circumference will be set in MC according to the following formula:

Wheel circumference MC = (Wheel circumference BLEvo x 25) / BLEvo Speed limit

When BLEvo is connected to the bike the represented speed limit will be:

BLEvo speed limit = (Wheel circumference BLEvo x 25) / Wheel circumference MC

With some examples I hope to clarify the calculation:

(BLEvo) REAL wheel circumference: 2255 mm
(BLEvo) Speed limit set: 25 km/h
Wheel circumference in Mission Control: 2255 mm

(BLEvo) REAL wheel circumference: 2255 mm
(BLEvo) Speed limit set: 30 km/h
Wheel circumference in Mission Control: 1879 mm

(BLEvo) REAL wheel circumference: 2255 mm
(BLEvo) Speed limit set: 50 km/h
Wheel circumference in Mission Control: 1127 mm

(BLEvo) REAL wheel circumference: 2300 mm
(BLEvo) Speed limit set: 25 km/h
Wheel circumference in Mission Control: 2300 mm

(BLEvo) REAL wheel circumference: 2300 mm
(BLEvo) Speed limit set: 30 km/h
Wheel circumference in Mission Control: 1917 mm

(BLEvo) REAL wheel circumference: 2300 mm
(BLEvo) Speed lock set: 50 km/h
Wheel circumference in Mission Control: 1150 mm

It is useless to set the wheel circumference at 2100 mm in BLEvo, hoping to unlock the speed. This will only result in an incorrect count of speed and travelled distance. You need to set the REAL circumference in BLEvo (eg 2255 mm) and set the speed limit to 30 km/h (in Mission Control it will be displayed 1879 mm). If the wheel circumference in MC will not be changed (for example due to Levo 2019 with firmware 2.025 or later or because the battery is not connected to the motor) once reconnected to the Levo you will see the limit return to 25 km/h.

Finally, remember that to store the value at Levo, the battery must be connected to the motor and switched on. Then after changing the value, the battery must be switched off and then on again.

PS: For the US bikes where the speed limit is not 25km/h please leave the speed setting to 25km/h otherwise the wheel size will be modified and the speed and distance calculation will be wrong.

    Hi ,
Thank you for the explanations .
I still have problems setting the speed limit . After setting the max speed to 30 , i swirch the bike off and on and than the speed limit is set back to 25 . Is there a step i miss ? ( levo 2019. Firmware 0.3.1 ) . Thanks !

Hi, i have a 2018 levo Turbo (with a brand new battery). I changed the speed limit to 35 km/h but NOT the wheel circ. However, while blevo was telling me that I was still on assist at 35 km/h when test riding, my GPS was telling me that I was riding at 25km/h...
Therefore changing speed limit only seems to screw with speed reading for me but not actual speed. Any clue?

Did you restart the bike before start the test?
Try to reload the value, so you can understand if the value is read correctly..

    Hi Paulo !

I’ve tried everything you said on my Kenevo 2018 and unfortunately my bike is still locked at 25 km/h (I was a 35 km/h since 2 years know so it’s very disappointing 🙄)

I have try to clean connections, and all the others tips you give but still the same.

Maybe you will do an update on the BLEvo app concerning this problem soon ?

Thank you very much from advance for your answer 😉👍

Ask to the dealer to force the update of the battery and motor.. at the end you can ask to him to set the speed to 2000mm to have the speed to 28km/h

I have one the first Levos (2016/2017). Just installed the Blevo app and tried to change the speed. But the wheel circumference in de MC app doesn’t seem to go below 2000mm, even when I set the speed in the blevo app on 50km/h. Is it supposed to do that?

Mission control will show you only values greater than 2000 even if the real value is lower..
    Please trust in BLEvo..

Thank you Paolo. I did a test ride and all worked fine. And indeed, although the MC app shows 2000mm circumference, the bike was able to go over 40km/h, as set by the BLEvo app 😎
